Villa il Poggino is a red brick farmhouse dating from between 1610 and 1643, set on a hilltop just outside the village of Buonconvento with long views across the Val d'Orcia in every direction. The restoration has been thorough and considered, blending contemporary touches with the original character of the building: a corten steel staircase alongside travertine fireplaces, a modern open-plan kitchen alongside traditional Tuscan stonework. The round dining table seats ten and the two lounge areas give the house a natural rhythm for larger groups to gather and spread out.
Outside, a one-hectare garden holds an infinity pool set within a fully fenced 500 square metre pool area, a fire pit lounge, an outdoor kitchen and dining area and an 18-metre bocce court. A panoramic terrace with a jacuzzi for six looks out across the Tuscan hills.
